Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild

January 5, 2015

Michael Forsberg is a Lincoln-based environmental photographer. We first encountered his work in a special display at the Joslyn Museum a few years ago (his photograph above of a burrowing owl in South Dakota gives you a taste of his work). A month ago, while in Lincoln for a concert, we stumbled onto his gallery. There, we purchased a copy of his NET/PBS documentary, Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild.

Tonight we finally view the documentary. It is magnificent. The final section includes the Broken Kettle preserve in Iowa’s Loess Hills. You can view parts of the documentary here: Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild | PBS.

You can find Forsberg’s own website here.
